1.1.1. Whitman tone is how he is appreciative to be part of Americas singing and how America is made of different people in one big community

1.2.1. The mood that Whitman used was that he is proud to be a part of America and how great it is to be within the large population of people

2.1.1. The tone is that Huges is greatful to have food and shelter even though he isn't allowed to eat with the opposite colour when they have company

2.2.1. The mood is that Huges is happy with how he is living, he doesn't get treated with 100% respect but still is content with what he has.
