1.4.5. 21st Century Technology: At least once a week will do a "flipped classroom" where homework will be done in the classroom. This will allow students like Anthony to receive focused help to understand the concepts being taught.
1.4.6. 21st Century Technology: Have the class participate in a "visual field trip" through using Skype or Google Hangout where my students can be introduced to experts in their field and ask questions freely (I actually did this with John-David's classroom. His students and mine met through Google Hangout and students learned about Canadian culture and American Culture. The students really enjoyed it!).

3.3.4. 4MAT Type 2- Analytic learning-listens to and thinks about information.
3.4. Teaching Strategies
3.4.1. Will show videos to introduce the topic and many pictures, anchor charts to aid understanding while teaching the lesson.
3.4.2. Will be given time to think about a topic through turn-and-talk. Since Olivia struggles to organize her thoughts, discussing about the prompt first with a partner or a small group will allow her freedom to listen first and time to organize her thoughts.
3.4.3. Will also use think-pair-share strategy to help her practice thinking first then speaking.
3.4.4. During writing she will have a sheet to guide her writing that she can use to get started.
3.4.5. 21st Century Technology: Student response systems: This allows students to anonymously give their answers without fear that others will know if they got the answer wrong. It removes nerves when participating in class. This will benefit a student like Olivia who struggles with speaking.
3.4.6. 21st Century Technology: Olivia will also benefit from having a "flipped classroom." She will have the opportunity to complete assignments and ask for help from the teacher or other students.
