6. What is overpopulation?

6.1. Overpopulation occurs when the population in an area exceeds the amount of available resources. These resources could be food, water, money, shelter or land, and energy fuels. Overpopulation can also be when the population density transcends the average density in the country. Overpopulation is not when there is simply a high population, it is when the population outstrips the available resources
