1.1. The first conflict in Macbeth is internal with Macbeth fighting himself to chose right from wrong.

1.2. The next conflict is external and its with Macbeth being stopped by The Great Chain of Being Because he moved through it irregularly.

2.1. The story of Macbeth mostly takes place in Scotland but their are some parts of the story that are in England.

3.1. The main theme of Macbeth seems to be about the affects of getting caught up with achieving your goal without regard to what happens to people around you.

4.1.1. We get Macbeth, Banquo and the weird sisters introduced to us.

4.2. Initial incident

4.2.1. Macbeth's meeting with the Weird Sisters starts it all.

4.3. Rising action

4.3.1. Macbeth kills Duncan the first chance he gets.

4.4. Climax

4.4.1. When his assassins kill Banquo but fail to kill Fleance because everything was going his way up till then.

4.5. Falling action

4.5.1. Macbeth kills Banquos servants and kills lady Macduff and her children.

4.6. Resolution

4.6.1. Macbeth gets killed by Macduff and Malcolm gets placed as the rightful king of Scotland, resulting in The Great Chain of Being going back to normal.

5. Protagonist and Antagonist

5.1. Macbeth is the protagonist.

5.2. Their are many antagonist in Macbeth but I would say the main antagonist is The Great Chain of Being because even if he got past the others, The Great chain of Being would destroy the world.

6. Quotes

6.1. "All fair is foul, and foul is fair; Hover through the fog and filthy air." (1.1.11-12)

6.1.1. I think this means that everything good is perceived bad and everything bad is seen as good.

6.2. "If chance will have me king, why, chance may crown me." (1.3.157-159)

6.2.1. Here Macbeth lets chance take over for a bit instead of fighting it.

6.3. "My thought, whose murder yet is but fantastical, shakes so my single state of man that function is smoother'd in surmise, and nothing is but what is not."(1.3.52-55)

6.3.1. This shows Macbeth jumping to conclusions with the Weird Sisters prophecies as they didn't say anything about having to kill Duncan to become king.
