Student and Classroom Management

1. Demonstrate the behaviour I want my students to have

1.1. I want my students to use their manners

1.2. I want my students to be kind to one another

1.3. I will do my very best in having a positive attitude as much as possible

2. I want my students to know they are succeeding

2.1. I believe if students know they are doing well it will lead to positive behaviour in class

2.2. To do this I will let the student know face to face as well as phone and inform their parents of the good news

3. I want my students to always work hard

3.1. To help manage this and make this successful I will praise students and give positive feedback for their hard work

4. My students will have a say in decisions

4.1. I want my students to feel like they are in charge of their own learning.

4.2. I will allow my students to come up with discussion topics as well as have a say in the learning activities that we will do as a class

5. I hope to keep my students occupied and on task

5.1. I will come up with numerous different activities that suit the learning strategies for all of my students in hopes to keep them all working efficiently

5.2. If some of my students learn at a slower pace than others then I will make sure to spend more time with them and check on them to make sure they are on track with their work

6. Do not be tardy

6.1. If it continuously happens a phone call will be made out to parents

6.2. To try and diminish the tardiness I will have some type of reward for the students that are not tardy nor disrupt class time

7. Have an effective way to get students attention when needed

7.1. A clapping pattern or raising a hand

7.2. Rhythmic tune

8. I want my students to pay attention

8.1. I will have lessons that are well designed and it will be followed by activities that the students can only participate in if they were engaged and paying attention in the lesson

9. I believe that building strong relationships leads to positive behaviour

9.1. I will have activities that help the students learn things about me as well as I learn things about my students

9.2. I believe that in doing this I will be able to bond more with my students and form stronger, more trustworthy relationships. This I hope will lead to positive behaviours in class

10. I want to keep my classroom a controlled space

10.1. To do this I hope to keep a calming voice and environment for my students, not a boring classroom but not a crazy classroom that might cause students to act out sporadically

10.2. My students will know that if they want to speak they are to raise their hand and wait until they are called on
