1. Formative
1.1. Quizzes: These assessments let the teacher know if students are mastering their current objectives.
1.2. In class assignments: These assessments will help teachers notice strengths and weaknesses that will allow them to modify instruction before finishing the unit.
2. Interim/ Benchmark
2.1. Snapshot: These are practice assessments that evaluates students' mastery of objectives and prepares them for standardized tests.
2.2. Chapter test: These tests allow teachers to check for students's understanding.
3. Summative
3.1. End of unit assessment: These assessments will check if students mastered objectives at the end of the unit.
3.2. Essay projects: These are assessments where students have to prove what they have learned in class.
4. Performance
4.1. Presentations: Allow students to practice what they have cover in class.
4.2. Class projects: Class projects help students practice what it has been covered and also calls for higher levels of thinking.
5. Diagnostics
5.1. Pre-assessment or check for understanding test: It allow teachers to check prior knowledge as well as strengths and weaknesses of students.
5.2. Running records: It helps teachers find students reading level.
