1. COMPARATIVES AND SUPERLATIVE REVIEW

1.1. Comparative adjectives are used to compare differences between the two objects they modify (larger, smaller, faster, higher). They are used in sentences where two nouns are compared, in this pattern: Noun (subject) + verb + comparative adjective + than + noun (object).

1.2. Superlative adjectives are used to describe an object which is at the upper or lower limit of a quality (the tallest, the smallest, the fastest, the highest). They are used in sentences where a subject is compared to a group of objects. Noun (subject) + verb + the + superlative adjective + noun (object).

2. COMPARATIVES

2.1. (er) To compare 2 things/ people

2.1.1. adj(er)+than

2.1.1.1. Example: A plane is faster than a bike

2.2. monosyllable and bisyllable=adjective+er

2.2.1. The mouse is smaller than the owl.

2.3. syllable finished in Y= -Y is replaced by -IER

2.3.1. Easy= Easier

3.1. ADJECTIVE + EST

3.1.1. adj long=The +most + adjective

3.2. To compare 3 or more things/ people

3.2.1. Noun (subject) + verb + the + superlative adjective + noun (object).
