1. Generic Structures
1.1. Thesis
1.1.1. Introducing the topic and indicating the writer’s point of view.
1.2. Argument
1.2.1. Explaining the argument to support the writer’s position. Each argument must be supported by evidence and explanation.
1.3. Reiteration
1.3.1. Restating the writer’s point of view / to strengthen the thesis.
2. Language Features
2.1. Using relational process
2.2. Using internal conjunction
2.3. Using causal conjunction
2.4. Using Simple Present Tense
2.5. Using compound and complex sentence.
2.6. Use word that link argument, such as firstly, secondly, and reasoning through causal conjunction, such as in addition, furthermore, however, therefore.
3. Definiton
3.1. Analytical Exposition is a text that elaborates the writer‘s idea about the phenomenon surrounding.
4. Function
4.1. Its social function is to persuade the reader that the idea is important matter, and to analyze the topic that the thesis/opinion is correct by developing an argument to support it.
5. Purpose
5.1. To convince the reader that the topics presented was an important topic to be discussed or gained attention by way of providing arguments or opinions that support the main idea or topic.
