1.3. YOU WILL NEED YOUR CELL PHONE FOR THE CALLS AND A COMPUTER AS WELL. THE PEOPLE CALLED HOWEVER WILL SEE AN AREA CODE IN THEIR AREA.

3. The EBlast
3.1. get Democrats out there and vote in record numbers! Here is something you should consider doing to help. It's easy and not very time-consuming. The link below will answer most of your questions about this phone bank program, which will be taking place from September ___ to October ___ . It only takes 3-5 minutes per call, all scripted, and targets registered Democrats in battleground states (not in CA). You remain anonymous and the caller only sees a number with their area code, not yours. All you need is a cell phone and a computer. Once you log in you will receive immediate training and answers to any questions you have so you will feel comfortable. You will also be provided a detailed script to use and you simply have to check a few boxes as you proceed. Each session you initiate should take anywhere from one to two hours, depending on when you decide to take a break. This would equate to about 15-30 calls. At the end of each call session you will be asked to fill out a brief after action report; you can also stay on and debrief with other people. In all, you will hopefully handle about ___ call sessions per week over __ weeks. Please help us make a positive difference in the future of our country! Having made calls myself I can tell you that the volunteers on the Zoom Call are extremely helpful in coaching you through the process and will ask you to make calls either on behalf of Biden or for the critical Senate races. All calls are from your house and you will need to use a computer and a phone. (There is also a two minute training video you can look at before your call and then additional training when you connect on the Zoom call. The calls are currently on Wednesdays (5:30-7:30 PM), Fridays (5:30-7:30 PM) and Sundays (1-3 PM). The call will include on the spot coaching and training. 6.1.1. Turnout2020 is a national phone banking campaign calling inconsistent Democratic swing state voters to urge them to take action.
7. What is involved
7.1. 1. Approx. how long does each call take?
7.1.1. Most people I tried were not available but I used a different venue due to the fact that I only had Safari on my Mac laptop. The typical caller I heard had much better success. If connected the average call should take 3-five minutes.
7.2. 2. Are calls fully scripted?
7.2.1. Yes, they provide you with a detailed script to use and then you check boxes as to what applies.
7.3. 3. Is there a link to "test drive" the process before committing to it?
7.3.1. No, just jump in and they give you immediate training and answer questions to you feel comfortable. The staff is very helpful and accessible.
7.4. 4. Approx. how long is each call session expected to take?
7.4.1. 2 hours but you can always quit earlier (they do ask you to fill out a brief after action report; you can also stay on and debrief with other people.
7.5. 5. How many call sessions are expected from each volunteer?
7.5.1. 15-30 calls would be my guess
