1. What did I think before the module?
1.1. I believed technology to be the machine tools, mechanical instruments and electronic devices invented over time.

2. What do I think it is now?
2.1. Technology is not just limited to machine tools, mechanical instruments and electronic devices. When devices or tools become common to use and enhance everyday functions, this is called technology.
2.1.1. Technology is basically "any "practical application of knowledge" or "manner of accomplishing a task" (Isman 2012) for the benefit of society.
2.1.2. Technology is understanding the interaction of people with those new developments and how it impacts civilization, because "simplistic intuitions about technology requires investigation of the human mind and socio-cultural environment as well as interactions with technological artifacts" (Isman 2012).

2.1.5.1. Technology has changed many aspects of our daily lives. It is through technology that we are now able to receive and process information within seconds. Decades ago, access to the internet was a timely process and required a dial-up modem; people would never have imagined a world where such access would be available in the palms of our hands. The rapid exchange of information has enabled human's exponential abilities and has advanced like nothing else known to man ever before. However, it is advancing so aggressively that many experts are currently questioning the effects that it is having on society. Technology has changed in the way it contributes to society; it once brought people much prosperity. With a whole new world created, the negative impacts of technology are being exposed and seem to impact our daily lives significantly.
