1.1. 1. Authors do have power. When they write, they can influence many decisions that people make.

1.2. 2. Yes, because they can get sued if, for example, a guy jumps off of a building and dies after reading a book where a bionic man jumps off of a building and lives.

1.3. 3. Yes, it is their power. But, if they are a good person, then they will make the right decision.

1.4. 4. Yes, because Rosie used her power to organize a food and clothes drive for Katje's town of Olst.

2.1. 1. I would eliminate Postman Kleinhoote because I would want to see how Rosie manages to get the packages to Katje, or if Katje even gets them at all.

2.2. 2. I would like to give Katje and Rosie iPads or computers so that they wouldn't have to wait so long before they hear from each other again. They could communicate instantly.

2.3. 3. I would rewrite the story and include my friend so that they would be a specified character that gave to Rosie's food drive for Katje. My friend would also write letters to Katje and make it a really long distance relationship, considering that Katje is in Holland, Rosie is in Indiana, and my friend would be in Maryland.

2.4. 4. If I was the author, then I would have for Rosie and Katje to meet in person.

2.5. 5. Rosie and Katje stand out from other characters because they have a real relationship with each other and are pen pals. No one else mentioned in the story had a pen pal.
