1. DOWNLOADING

1.1. Students will only download the programs that the teacher introduces in class

1.2. Students are not permitted to download any sources for personal entertainment

1.2.1. i.e. videos, video players, movies, music, pictures that are not used for a project purpose

1.3. Students will be permitted to download documents that are considered reliable sources

1.3.1. i.e. word documents, PDF files, approved audio files (to use for podcasts and movie maker)

1.4. Students will not be allowed to make changes to the computer if it is a computer they borrow from the teacher

1.4.1. i.e. change the wallpaper, change the display, add and remove programs, etc.

2. BREAK RULES

2.1. If students break the rules they will have to return the computer for the day

2.2. If students are using their own computer they will have to give it to the teacher for the remainder of the class period

2.3. If the student is caught breaking these rules more than two times, the student will lose computer privledges for the semester

3. LAPTOP USE

3.1. Students will be permitted to use laptops in class

3.1.1. Students can bring their own laptops to class or will be permitted to borrow them from the teacher

3.1.2. Students must return laptops if borrowed.

3.1.3. Students must sign out what computer number they use

3.2. These laptops will be used so the student's can mimic what the teacher is doing and can learn by doing hands on activities

3.3. This will help students because they will be able to receive teacher help if they have trouble accessing a specific program

4. INTERNET USE

4.1. Students will be permitted to use the computers to mimic what the teacher is teaching in class

4.1.1. i.e. if the teacher is talking about a specific program the students will be able to use their computer to look up that program and test it out

4.2. Students will be permitted to use the computers for research on topics presented in class.

4.2.1. i.e. if the student is interested in to looking more in to a certain product they may do so

4.3. Students will not be permitted to use the laptops for social media purposes.

4.3.1. i.e. Twitter, Facebook, etc.

4.3.2. Students may use the ten minute break time to browse leisurely on the internet on appropriate websites.

4.3.3. Students may use the social media sources if they are using them for an in class purpose- i.e. blogger or Google Plus
