1. Comparatives

1.1. Short adjectives

1.1.1. Form: Adj-er + than

1.1.2. Double the final consonant if it comes right after a vowel. Eg: lower, shorter

1.1.3. For adj ending in –e, just add –r. Eg: cuter

1.1.4. • For adj ending in –y, change –y to –i and add –er. Eg: healthier, wealthier

2.1.4. For adj ending in –y, change –y to –i then add –st. Eg: tidy => tidiest
