1. Task 1. Data Collection

1.1. 1.1 Interviews

1.1.1. 1.1.1Children

1.1.1.1. Interviews will be conducted with children at early stage of the research. This interviews will have around five questions that investigate the interest of children in reading and find out their opinions and thoughts about reading

1.1.1.2. at the end of the research another intreview with children will be conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the hypothesis (Would digital storytelling in library environment promote children’s reading literacy) by asking them about their feeling and opinions . This interviews will have around five questions which will be open-ended questions .

1.1.2. 1.1.2 Librarians

1.1.2.1. will be interviewed after they will be participated in the training sessions to find out their opinions about digital storytelling approach to promote children to read.

1.1.2.2. At the end of the research, interviews will be used to find if the children become more to the library and read.

1.2. 1.2 Surveys

1.2.1. 1.2.1 Children

1.2.1.1. another survey will be designed for children to measure that if they become active reader via using technology and sharing their digital storytelling.

1.3. 1.3 Field Notes

1.3.1. will include daily written observations of what researcher will be looking for. Moreover, it will include all the important information from conversations with children or librarians.

1.4. 1.4 Video and Audiotapes

1.4.1. A video camera will be used to record children while they are working during the session. An audio recorder will be used to record all the interviews which will help researcher to take detailed notes later.

1.5. 1.5 Chicklist

1.5.1. a checklist will be used to count the stories that children read and how many times they visit the library per week before and after implementing the project to test the hypothesis. Furthermore, another checklist will be used as a rubric to evaluate students’ digital stories.

2. Task 2. Training Sessions

2.1. 2.1 Children

2.1.1. children will be taught how to create digital storytelling through following stages.

2.1.1.1. They will be introduced to digital storytelling topic and its element (1hour)

2.1.1.2. They will be trained how to scan images from books (1 hour)

2.1.1.3. they will be taught how to storyboard the story that they have read and use their own words to write their story (1hour)

2.1.1.4. they will be coached to the basic skills of using Photo story 3 to create their digital storytelling (4 hours )

2.2. 2.2 Librarians

2.2.1. librarians will be trained how to teach children creating digital storytelling. Moreover, they will be identified to the benefits of implementing the project in the library environment. Besides, they will be trained how to use Photo Story application. They will be participated in one to two training session(s).
