2.1. Thraditional method seeks to TEACH ARABIC THROUGH THE ARAB MIND which does not appeal to the non-Arab mind. WSM teaches first and foremost the foundation of Arabic grammar thru a familiar language such as English before gradually bringing the students to a higher level of understanding Arabic thru the Arab mind.
2.2. Traditional method forces the students TO MEMORIZE FIRST, UNDERSTAND LATER! WSM acquaints the students the most important LOGIC and system of Arabic Grammar. Once the logic of Arabic Grammar is understood, students will have a clear MENTAL MAP of the Arabic language. Once they can locate a specific grammatical item in the grammar map, they will find it easy to choose which grammatical item to memorize or merely to refer to a text book without memorizing it.
