2.1. This unit is started after American Revolution

3. Formative

3.1. Ongoing Assessment

3.1.1. This activity is done after we are finished with all three branches

3.1.2. Depending on class size, sometimes we do this as a whole class, sometimes in small groups

3.1.3. On whiteboard I write, Legislative, Executive, and Judicial

3.1.4. I give them a list of powers and they write them on a post-it then place the post-it under the correct branch.

3.1.5. When finished, we review what was put under each branch, and move post-its if necessary.

4.3. As a building, we are trying to work together to incorporate ELA Common Core Standards into all subjects.

4.3.1.1. Produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience.

4.3.2. I grade these short answers for capitalization, punctuation, grammar, and content.
