1. Graduate from Medical School
1.1. Must take and pass the MCAT
1.2. Must obtain medical degree such as M.D. (allopathic medical degree) or D.O. (doctorate of osteopathic medicine)
1.3. Get at least four years of education in medical school.
1.3.1. Take the Medical Residency Training Program
1.3.1.1. Must have a minimum of 3 years for primary care and some medical specialties.
1.3.1.2. There are four different types of medical programs.
2. Tests or Certifications
2.1. Medical College Admission Test (MCAT)
2.1.1. Pass the test to get accepted to a medical college.
2.1.2. The higher the MCAT score the better chances you will have of getting accepted to Medical College.
2.2. Pass the USMLE
2.2.1. After completing Medical School you take a three part exam to get a medical license
2.2.2. time required 3 to 6 days
3. Obtain Bachelors Degree
3.1. You can either go to a University or a College
3.1.1. University
3.1.1.1. University of Iowa
3.1.2. College
3.1.2.1. Allen College
3.1.3. Go to community college for two years
3.1.3.1. Transfer to a 4 year college or university
3.2. A total of four years of college
3.2.1. Focus on basic sciences such as: Biology Chemistry Physics
4. High school
4.1. Take advanced classes in math and science
4.1.1. Chemistry Anatomy Physiology
4.2. Graduate from High School with your best grades
4.2.1. The higher GPA the more chances of getting accepted to a college.
