3.2.1. ABCD: This speech was given during a speech contest at Belmont University by a college student majoring in Psychology. No biases are detected and the information is up to date with recent findings.

3.2.1.1. -Child often remembers absolutely nothing from the terror -Often start after 90 minutes of sleep. If they have them often, there is usually a pattern. -Slamming of a door before bed may slightly awake the child and they may become more susceptible -some terrors are genetic and will go away in time -parents will be more emotional than child will be

4. SYNTHESIS: Heat is found in a lot of cases regarding night terrors. The best way to treat this, is by cracking open your child's window. This allows a steady flow of cool air through your child's room. Another thing you could do is make sure the child is not wrapped up to tightly in their blankets. In all of my sources, these two things prove to be the most effective. You could also place their feet in cool water once they have cooled down.

5. SYNTHESIS: Night terrors are often genetic. This allows the child no resistance to these terrors. Like most children, night terrors will go away once the child is at the stage of adolescents. A quiet environment also allows the child to be less susceptible to night terrors. Even a door slam will allow the child to partially wake up. Every single source I've come a crossed has stated that the child will know nothing about the night terror. However, if they fully wake up during the terror, then they may remember a small amount. Make sure all sharp or potentially hard objects are away from the child.

6. SYNTHESIS: Very loud environments are linked to night terrors. Another thing that has an effect on night terrors is moving. There are many cases where the child has never had a night terror, and once they move, they started to have them. A college student moving to Britain threw himself off a two story balcony thinking that his apartment was being broke into. Children are not fully awake during the night terror and often "dream" about being chased by a perpetrator or someone is breaking in.
