Like the film Industry the music industry is dominated by a number of large companies in this case "the big four which consists of: Universal Music Group, Sony BMG, EMI Group (now a part of Universal Music Group (recording), Sony/ATV Music Publishing (publisher) and Warner Music Group . The largest music retailer in the world is now Apple Inc.'s iTunes Store. The two largest companies in the industry are Universal Music Group and Sony/ATV Music Publishing.

3. There are many television companies that show music videos, for example there many channels dedicated to showing music such as 4music, Viva ect. However the main companies are MTV, which is a global company that has been around for many years, VEVO and CMT for country music. There are hundreds of TV streaming services that allow you to watch music videos online. The main platform to watch music videos now would be via YouTube through VEVO, every star has a 'VEVO' Youtube channel, for example RihannaVEVO currently has 14,315,547 subscribers and most if not all of her music videos will be on her channel and it gets updated constantly, most of the music stars have a vevoyoutube channel. However you can also watch music videos on the TV 24/7 and online via other platforms.

4. In conclusion music videos nowadays are all about selling the artist and making lots of money for the record company, most songs of today are produced to make money, however some are also genuine. The music video promotes the song and the artist, a good example of this is the music video for PSY 'gangnam style' the video became the most watched video on YouTube ever, and generated huge profits for the record company, PSY is now very popular around the world collaborating with many stars such as 'SnoopDog'.
