SCOUT FINCH by Mind Map: SCOUT FINCH

1. Atticus Finch- This is Scout’s father. He is a lawyer for Maycomb County. He has helped Scout develop as a character, for example, her reading and writing skills have improved since he reads to her every single night. He lets her discover what is right from wrong, and what society is like in their era.

2. Jem Finch - Scout’s older brother. He is a big influence on Scout. They learn new things about their society that changes their perspective on life. They go on adventures together, and they do everything with each other. They lookout for each other, and he is one of Scout’s main role models in the book.

3. Calpurnia- Besides being a motherly figure to Scout, Cal has been a role model to her. Cal has helped Scout from what is right and wrong in some cases. She has taught her many things and makes a big impact in her life.

4. Dill- He is a very good friend of Scout. They go on almost every adventure they can together, when he visits for the summer. I guess you could say that Scout had a real close connection with Dill, relationship wise. She did want to marry him, so that says something.

5. Miss Maudie- She and Scout have a nice bond together, and Miss Maudie is trying to encourage Scout to act more like a lady. She has talks with her, about the neighborhood, what society is like, how she should behave, and Scout learns a lot from her.

6. Arthur (Boo) Radley- Ever since the book, Scout has had a strong connection with Boo. She has always wanted to see him, meet him, talk to him. At first, she thought he was a bad guy, but he really is not. He has made mistakes, plus he saved both Jem and her lives. He represents a big part in Scout's life, as she learns to not assume and judge someone from how they look.

7. Walter Cunningham- He does not play a big role in To Kill a Mockingbird, although scout learns something from him. After beating him up quite roughly, she learns that he comes from a very, poor family and can not afford anything. The great depression had hit them very hard. She learns to not judge a book by its cover.

8. Aunt Alexandra- Since she is Scout's aunt, she is not the first person to not get along with Scout very well. She thinks that Scout is not well mannered, and acts like a boy instead of acting like a lady. What bothers her most is that Scout goes running off, and Atticus does nothing about it. They don't have the best bond together throughout the book at all.
