1. In reported speech, when the reporting verb, is in the past,
2. Reported speech tense -Past Simple -Past Continuous -Past Perfect -Past Perfect -Past Perfect
2.1. Direct speech tense -Present Simple -Present Continuous -Present Perfect -Past Simple -Past Perfect
3. We don't use the auxialiry verb DO in reported speech. There isn't inversion of subject and verb in the reported question
4. EXAMPLE -Stand Up- She told them stand up -Don't write on the table- They told him not to write on the table.
5. COULD, WOULD, SHOULD and MIGHT don't change
6. With SAY you don't need to use a personal object
7. With TELL you must use a personal object
8. We use TOLD to report stronger commands on ASKED for more polite request
