2.3. RIM

2.3.1. Pros:

2.3.1.1. Screen Size: Some may say the Torch has a small screen; I feel the Torch has an excellent screen for what I need to use it for. I personally don’t need to hold a tablet PC up to my head when I use a phone.

2.3.1.2. Mail Delivery: BB has mail delivery down. I do not use Enterprise, but my BIS mail service has never failed me on my Torch. I get emails reliably on time.

2.3.2. Cons:

2.3.2.1. Screen Resolution: This is really a low priority for me, but still it would be nice to have a little better resolution for today’s market. For the majority of what I do (97%) the screen is fine. For the other 3%, it would be nice to have better quality.

2.3.2.2. Creaking slider: This is my first slider, so maybe all sliders end up with play? And, it’s not a real big deal to me. If I didn’t read these forums, I probably wouldn’t even notice/care about this… but it IS there, so I will list it.

4.1.2.1. Frequent Releases- Unlike Windows, Ubuntu has much more frequent version releases. Whereas Windows will have a new version out every couple of years, Ubuntu will have new versions every six months of so.

4.1.2.2. The Music Players Sucks - It might be just me but I’ve tried about four different music players in Ubuntu and all produced the same results.

4.1.3. Ubuntu is a computer operating system based on the Debian GNU/Linux distribution and is distributed as free and open source software with additional proprietary software available. It is named after the Southern African ethical principle Ubuntu ("humanity towards others"). Web statistics suggest that Ubuntu's share of Linux desktop usage is about 50%, and upward trending usage as a web server. Ubuntu is sponsored by the UK-based company Canonical Ltd.
