Plant Life Cycle

1. Stem
1.1. The stem is the part of the plant that carries water and nutrients from the roots to the leafs. It helps hold the plant straight.
2. Flower
2.1. Flowers attract pollinators and make seeds that will someday grow into new plants.
3. Leafs
3.1. Leafs grow out from a stem. They have little openings that allow air and water come and go. Leafs catch energy from sunlight and use it to turn air and water into food.
4. Seed
4.1. A seed is the first stage of a plants growth process. It helps hold the plant straight.
5. Root
5.1. The root is the part of the plant that grows underground. It helps hold the plant steady and also takes up a lot of water and minerals.
6. Fruit
6.1. A fruit is part of the flower that holds the seed that is called ovary. After pollination, the petals fall away and he ovary develops into a fruit.
