1.1. Visiting campus to see if it is a good size and if I would like to take classes here.
1.2. Looking at and talking to students to see if I would enjoy being in class with them and could see myself wanting to make friends since then.
1.3. Reading online about staff members and considering whether or not I would want to be in their classes.
1.4. Looking back on my experiences in Austin and thinking about whether or not I would want to live here. Things to consider here would be traffic, people, the size of the town, and if I would feel safe here.
2. Beings
2.1. The most important person to consider during this decision making process is the coach. Was he a good coach and would he and I get along?
2.2. My parents were the people with whom I had this discussion and are the most influential people in my life for decisions as important as this one was.
2.3. I met some of the other kids on the team and new some of the kids that would be transfers to the team at the same time I was.
3. Events
3.1. Perhaps the most important events to consider would be the golf tournament schedule. This tells me about the team and their expectations. If everyone were to be honest I think they would all rather play good courses than bad.
3.2. Another important aspect to consider is the class schedule. It was important to know how many hours I would need to graduate and if the work load would be too heavy for a student athlete.
4. Texts
4.1. Reading online about history of golf program and the school. I was gathering information about school and how well my credits from old school would transfer. I also used these online readings to decide if St. Edward's and the golf program were institutions I wanted to be associated with.
4.2. Emails from Coach with information and St. Edward's golf program and school. This gave information such as program history and tournament schedules.
5. Structures
5.1. Learning the structures of the golf program. This would include how practice is set up, how qualifying for tournaments work, and even how Coach actually coaches the team.
5.2. How do classes work? This was important to consider in order to decide if the work would be suitable for a student athlete.
5.3. Where the team practices is important because a team's practice facilities are where the play and try to get better, if those facilities are less than adequate it can affect my own performance.
