1.1. Introduces the Scholar Academic, Social Efficiency, Learner Centered, and Social Reconstruction ideologies.

2. Social Efficiency Ideology

2.1. Education and activities prepare students for adult life. Learning objectives are made in behavioral terms.

3. Apply and Critique

3.1. I am using the information I have learned to help choose new curriculum for my classes. I also feel it gives me a new way to teach my students. I can pull in more of one of the ideologies to benefit my students.

3.2. I do not feel that a person can only be one ideology. Taking a mixture of ideologies helps a teacher to choose curriculum that benefits all students. Students need academics, experiences, and socialization to be well rounded students.

4. Scholar Academic Ideology

4.1. Curriculum should be based on academic domains. Politics and society should not interrupt student learning.

5. Learner Centered Ideology

5.1. Focuses on the needs of the learner. Learning starts where a student is now. Students learn through experiences.
