2.1. Like many Australians I've been prompted to learn more about the experiences of Indigenous Australians by the Black Lives Matter movement and the recent media focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander deaths in custody and Invasion Day protests

3.1. I don't remember being taught about any Australian history prior to 1778
3.2. Predominantly white Australian perspectives represented e.g. Australia being 'discovered' by Captain Cook
3.3. Tokenistic representations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture e.g. bush tucker excursion, watched 'Rabbit Proof Fence' in high school

4.1. Inclusion of cross-curriculum priorities in assessment tasks, however I don't feel I have the knowledge or understanding to do this authentically
