Relevant Issues in Translation Studies.

1. There is no a perfect translation.

1.1. There are several differences amongst languages such as culture, expressions and actions which can only exist in the source language.

1.2. Despite of the cultural differences a skilled translator must be capable of interpret an endemic expression from a different language into an equivalent expression of the source language.

2. Having enough knowledge of the Target Language.

2.1. It is essential to have a good knowledge in order to interpret correctly the ideas of the source text and apply them to the target text.

2.2. According to Chen(1999), at the moment of the translation we have to be aware of the mental transfer of the language.

3. Ethics in Translator and Interpreter

3.1. The translator must be impartial no matter what circumstances is facing.

3.2. Sometimes, there are topics where the translator does not feel comfortable or disagrees with what is happening in the Translation. Nevertheless, it is important to keep it professional.

5. It is a recent subject

5.1. It began as an independent discipline at the 70s by Holmes however, nowadays there is no wide variaty of books and studies.

5.2. The Toury diagram was made on 1995 that structurate the Translation discipline according to Holmes.

5.2.1. Holmes' paper was defined by Gentzler (1993: 92) as generally accepted as the founding statement for the field

6. Proliferation of conferences, books and journals

6.1. The key themes of translation were not explained in conferences until the end of the decade of 1990.

6.1.1. For instance: literary translation (Mons, Belgium), and transadaptation and pedagogical challenges (Turku, Finland), etc.

6.2. Due the increasing interest in Translation, several countries started to publish journals and books about the subject.

6.2.1. Between these countries we can find the Netherlands (with Babel), Canada (with Meta) and Morocco (with Turjuman)
