1.1. Made from monosaccharides. Groups of monosaccharides make polysaccharides like starch, glucose and cellulose.

2. Nucleic Acid

2.1. Used for information transfer such as DNA and RNA. Composed of nucleotide monomers. The order of specific nucleotides is genetic information.

3. Lipids

3.1. Composed of fatty acids. Used for long term energy storage, cell membrane (phospholipids), signaling.

4. Proteins

4.1. Work horse of the cell. Made of amino acids. Provide structure, cell transport and communication between cells.
