1. Natural Capital

1.1. The natural resources and environmental, regarded as having economic value or providing a service to humankind.

1.1.1. Non-renewable

1.1.1.1. is either replaceable or replaced over geological timescales

1.1.1.1.1. minerals, soil, water, fossil fuels

1.1.2. Renewable

1.1.2.1. Natural resource which will replenish to replace the portion depleted by usage and consumption

1.1.2.1.1. living species that uses solar energy

1.1.2.1.2. groundwater + ozone layer

1.1.3. Recyclable sources

1.1.3.1. resources which are reusable or reusable after reconditioning

1.1.3.1.1. eg: Iron, aluminium (pg 373)

2. Natural Income

2.1. Natural income is the yield obtained from natural resources.

3. What do natural resources provide

3.1. Goods

3.1.1. trees, soil, water, living organisms

3.2. Services

3.2.1. flood & erosion mitigation, tourism

3.3. Processes

3.3.1. photosynthesis that provides oxygen, water cycle, carbon cycle, etc.

4. Dynamic Nature of Natural Capital

4.1. Basically: Sources here today, could be gone; and vice versa.
