2.1. Observe a lab in which a chemist identifies the bonds present in different unknown substances by testing melting point, solubility, and conductivity.

2.2. Reflect - Your brother has been pranking everyone lately, and left two identical white crystalline substances in sugar bowls on the counter. Your grandma is asking you to add some sugar to her tea. How can you confirm which of the two substances is actually sugar (without tasting them)?

3.1. Hands-on Lab: Confirm your findings about properties of bonds with some household chemistry. Choose three different substances and identify them as ionic, covalent, or metallic based on what you have learned about properties to confirm the bond type. (A video will be provided showing those who are interested how to create a simple conductivity tester)

3.2. Share your findings with classmates by creating a digital lab notebook on Canva. Do a virtual gallery walk and comment on the work of your peers.
