1. has to be trendy / based on current trends

1.1. Timeless is an abstract concept. With this fact, nobody can be allowed to consider this value as ab objective characterization. That means, that the sense of the word “Timeless” is very subjective.

1.1.1. it lays in the eye of the viewer who considers it as timless

1.1.2. this argument can be used for both sides, because who defines what timlessness is?

1.2. Reflects current time better

1.3. Nothing is really "timeless" everything is inspired by annother artist/ already seen in similar way

1.3.1. For example: Even the Mona Lisa, who has managed to stay relevant for over 500 years, can be clearly linked to the Renaissance period.

1.4. Art is always a product of their time and social/ cultural circumstances

1.5. More emotional, therefore more understandable for the consumer

1.6. Trends form the future while Timelessness mimics the past

1.7. without art that is trendy, there wouldnt be any new ideas. Making the only goal of every artist Timelessness, kills creativity

1.8. In the subjective perspective of our society, is typical timeless art usually minimalistic, focusing only on timelessness would probably resolve into a white sphere beeing the ultimate art form. Without any room for new ideas that are out of the box and unfamiliar, art regresses.

2.1. As long as the art evokes a feeling something that is familiar to us feels timeless.

2.2. Follows more the intended purpose

2.3. because it is more unique without copying whats popular and won't drown in all the other trends

2.4. More universal, valid accross different generations/ cultures

2.5. Familiarity is significant aspect of timeless design, because it evokes the emotions. Due to these emotions, it helps maintain design's novelty over time that can be reached mostly with simply forms by less detailing.

2.6. if art is only about trends, it becomes dated and loses its impact once that trend is over

2.7. good and lasting art often sets trends rather than following them

2.8. Idea of “form follows function” emphasizes timeless design in its method, which uses a principal of simplicity to avoid any unnecessary ornamentation.

2.13. If artest follow the pressure to be trendy, they lose there ability to be really creative. Creativity dosen't follow strict parts. Artist should have there own rules and don't follow the trend

2.14. Good art has an impact on the world and its people and inspires them to create something of their own -> testament to its lasting (timeless) impression
