My ILA In a nutshell: Building upon the Preps previous investigations on life cycles and plants, this ILA explores Animals. The preps receive a letter from a scientist who needs their help to create some new animal habitats and enclosures at Australia Zoo! The Preps are scaffolded through an inquiry about animals and their needs. Their questions will guide research using real life experts, non-fiction books and I Pads. In small groups, they will create a model animal enclosure for the zoo and send a photo of their model, along with a voice annotation via the I Pad App “Explain Everything” to the scientist.
