7. How my beliefs changed through these events and my experiences as a mother

7.1. I used to think that my parents were being overbearing and overprotective, but now that I have children of my own, my love for my children is so intense. I know now that I only want what's best for my children. I am not trying to smother them, but I am trying, in a way, to protect them from coming to harm.
