1. 4. Melt approximately 1 bag of candy melts (flavor and color of your choice in a microwave bowl on 1/2 power for 2 minute cycles until the melts are completely melted or you may use a melting pot to keep the melts at a consistent temp. ($20 at Walmart, Michaels or Hobby Lobby)

2. 5. When the balls are chilled and the melts are completely melted. You will need to dip your stick in the melts (about 1/3 in. of one end and stick that end into the chilled ball. Repeat until you have all the sticks in the balls.

3. 6. With the ball on the stick (melted candy coating should be hard) Dip the ball into the melted candy coating. Submerge the whole ball and then gently pull out letting the candy melts dip off until most of the excess is off and you can jiggle it to help the shape and texture of the coating smooth out. Use sprinkles at this time to decorate or other items to create your cake ball of choice.

4.1. 1. Bake the cake and crumble

4.2. 2. Mix the crumbled cake with a little frosting until it has a consistency to stay together (about 1/4 container of frosting.

4.3. 3. Roll the mixture into balls (about .75 oz) and chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours

7. Materials: Cake mix, frosting, candy melts (2 bags) sticks, styrofoam block, sprinkles (optional) or any other decorating materials you would like

8. 7. Put the dipped, decorated pop in the styrofoam block to cool and harden.

9. 8. Decorate more and/or cover with a plastic wrapper (bag) secure the bottom of the wrapper on the stick with a piece of ribbon.
