2. New Path aims to meet the needs of all people by making a number of its services free so that people who are unable to afford can still get the help they need. At my school, money was donated for a program that catered to the culture of the native people to ensure that the students from that background always felt included.
3. New Path has a number of programs available: Residential treatment in one of three 24-hour staffed 6-bed homes Individual and family counselling Group counselling Specialized classroom staffed by one teacher and a mental health worker Recreational activities Psychiatric and psychological consultation Service coordination with other agencies Support after discharge
4. These services can be accessed via a referral which can be made by parents or guardians, youth over 12, agencies, professionals.Residential treatment beds are accessed through Simcoe County Residential Central Intake Committee or York Region Central Intake Committee.
