1. Thesis- Students majoring in Business and Administration not only learn how to operate a business on all levels but also learn how to do so ethically. If a student of Business and Administration chooses to be unethical in college that may reflect on what could happen in their future place of work; some forms of unethical behavior to learn about in the workplace consist of sexual harassment, discrimination, and theft.

2. Note- All of these unethical behaviors are illegal. If found guilty of any of these depending on the severity a person could face jail time, fines, and or termination of employment. By being unethical in general you choose to create a hostile work environment, and create a bad reputation for yourself as well as the business you are working at. It is extremely important to learn about both ethical and unethical behaviors to support good business practices.

3. Sexual Harassment

3.1. Quid Pro Quo- A form of sexual harassment that entails an employer requesting or pressuring an employee for sexual favors for things such as career advancements.

3.1.1. Hostile Work Environments- Another form of sexual harassment that entails unwanted sexual advances that could be physical and or vernal. For example vulgar comments or groping.

4. Discrimination

4.1. Based on Sex- Does not mean it is in a sexual nature. An example of it would be a man hiring and does not choose a woman not because she is not qualified but because he thinks women are inferior.

4.1.1. Based on Race- An example is an employer does not give the most qualified employee a promotion because they are Hispanic.

5. Theft

5.1. Employee Theft- Of merchandise, supplies, money, and padding expenses. 75-80% of inventory depletion is due to employee theft. The rest is shoplifters.

5.1.1. Fraudulent Financial Reporting- For instance tax evasion would fall under this category. It is not always the employee or lower management stealing it is also the owners of a company or business. Tax evasion is punishable by 5 years imprisonment and up to 500k in fines.
