2. Paragraph: Throughout chapter 8, we can see Huck's character developing further. It is clear that Huck is starting to respect Jim more than anyone else, because of Jim he changes his own mindset by believing in superstitions, and he starts respecting Jim's beliefs to an extent.
3. Paraghraph: in the final chapter for this Mindmeister, Huck leaves the island and goes to a nearby town, as he talk to a local elderly lady, he learns that Jim is being blamed for his "Murder", and that they know where Jim is hiding. the chapter ends with Huck rushing back to the island so they can relocate.
4. Chapter 10
4.1. Title: What Comes Of Handlin' Snake-Skin
4.2. Point: This chapter shows up Huck should start respecting others' beliefs, and that he should be more careful with his pranks.
4.3. Central Line: "when Jim flung himself down on the blanket while I struck a light the snake's mate was there, and bit him." huck's prank was putting snake skin in Jim's blanket, which attracted anotger snake.
4.4. Paragraph: In this chapter, after coming back from the "trip" to the floating house, Huck wants to talk about the dead man inside, and Jim refuses, as it brings bad luck to talk about dead people. Huck disregards Jim's beliefs and, as expected, the bad luck comes as Jim is bitten/poisoned by a rattlesnake.
5. Chapter 8
5.1. Title: I Spare Miss Watson's Jim
5.2. Point: I think the point of this chapter is to show us, the readers, that even though Huck is not religious, he believes in some superstitions.
6. Chapter 9
6.1. Title: The House Of Death Floats By
6.2. Central Line:" 'Jim, this is nice,' I says. 'I wouldn't want to be nowhere else but here.' "
6.3. Point: The point of this chapter is to show that Huck should respect others' point of view. Also that, even though Jim is a slave, he can still have friends.
6.4. Paragraph: In chapter 9, Huck and Jim connect more by having a serious conversation. Later on, they go looking for food and supplies as they stumble across a house floating by the river and check inside. After taking things from the house, and the dead body, they head back to the island. (The house was there because of a storm.).
7. Chapter 11
7.1. Title: They Are After Us
7.2. Central Line: "I roused him out and says: 'Git up and hump yourself, Jim! There ain't a minute to lose. They're after us!' "
7.3. Point: This chapter shows us that Huck is selfless, as he feels bad to make pap and Jim suspects, he would rather go back to his father than have innocent person blamed.
