1. Equity, Inclusion and Awareness of Cultural Diversity

1.1. “Enaahtig’s programs and services are open to people of all Nations. They are primarily intended, however, for individuals of Aboriginal descent and their families.”

1.2. Our Public Education system is still failing is First Nations People. There is a significant gap in their achievement, attendance, graduation rates and sense of belonging in our Public Schools.

1.3. One reason this Lodge was established was to help bridge these gaps and to help the First Nations/Metis students have more equal access to the public school system.

2. Programs and Services

2.1. Residential Programs

2.1.1. The Enaahtig programs are traditionally focussed, holistic and guided by aboriginal psychology. They are scheduled based on the four seasons. Within each season a 1-4 week residential program for families provides focussed, intensive healing work.

5. Vision /Goals

5.1. The Enaahtig Healing Lodge and Learning Centre is established to provide opportunities for holistic healing and learning based on the principles of Aboriginal culture, to individuals and families in a safe environment in order to foster healthy, balanced communities and nations.

5.2. -To establish and operate a healing and learning centre for Aboriginal peoples -To promote traditional Aboriginal values and beliefs so as to encourage and foster the healing, rebuilding, and strengthening of Aboriginal communities -To promote the spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical well-being of aboriginal individuals, families and communities. -To provide programs and activities responding to the social, cultural, educational, and language needs of Aboriginal communities. -To provide opportunities for individuals and families to reconnect with the natural world through land based cultural activities.
