Why your city should not host the olympics

1. The money gave back

1.1. Yes the Olympics might give you some money back, and you get the money from the tickets but they will not give you back 10 billion dollars or in the sad case of Beijing they are not gonna give 42 billion dollars back.

2. The Olympics is way to expensive

2.1. Shokingly, "The games in Rio Brazil are projected to cost 10 billion dollars. With that kind of money you could launch 6 rockets to space" (Tim 13).

3. After the Olympics you will never use it again

3.1. The Olympics is a fun sport to watch but after they are done using it your never going to use it again unless you change it to a different kind of stadium which would cost you even more money.

4. The Olympics violate human rights

4.1. To explain, "To make way for Beijing’s 2008 Olympic infrastructure, an estimated 1.5m people were forcibly evicted from their homes with minimal compensation. The neighbourhoods were destroyed and residents removed to the outskirts of the city far from friends, family and places of work" (Clift).
