3.1. Diagnostic assessments are a type of assessment which examines what a student knows and can do prior to a lesson.

5.1. This type of assessment refers to a wide variety of methods that teachers use to conduct in-process evaluations with feedback.

6.1. Benchmarks are a low-level formative assessment used to evaluate student performance and measure student growth throughout the school year without feedback.
