8. Assessments allow students to show their knowledge and skills on a certain content area or idea. Assessments also allow teacher to see student growth and progress. They can also show where further instruction is needed. Assessments can be given at the end of each lesson, the beginning of each lesson, at the end of a unit, or over a period of time depending what the teacher is what to look at.
