1. Majority Opinion: The Supreme court wanted to give the position to Marbury but because they did not have original jurisdiction they could not rule in his favor.
2. Dissenting Opinion: There was no dissenting opinion. All judges on the Supreme Court were in agreement.
3. Constitutional Significance: This case set up and affirmed the idea of Judicial Review, as well as establishing original jurisdiction.

6. Details: Marbury was appointed as a judge at the end of Adams presidency. When Jefferson took office James Madison refused to give to give the position to Marbury. Marbury then sued Madison for the position
