Reliability and Validity are important in learning and assessment because it can help determine how to help a student progress and it can also help determine what is keeping a student from progressing . Reliability and validity can help educators find new ways to educate students who are having difficulties in school.

1. Internal Consitancy involves splitting a test into two parts to determine the correlation between the two of them.
2. Stability test or re test is when the test is given twice to the same group of students to see if their scores will correlate.
3. Accuracy tells if the test score is measuring the students true level of learning ability.
4. Reliability tells if the score rankings are consistent.
5. Validity tells if the test measures what is meant to be measured.
6. Criterion- Related Validity Evidence. Concurrent Criterion Related Validity, Predictive Validity Evidence
7. Construct Validity Evidence is when information corresponds with a theory.
8. Concurrent Criterion Related Validity Evidence are measures that can be administered at the same time so measures can be validated.
9. Predictive Validity Evidence tells how well test takers will do in future settings.
