1. Body Image

1.1. Pressures on how a student should look or behave can pressure students into making unhealthy decisions around diet and exercise.

2. Substance Abuse

2.1. Can affect growth and development, lead to future health problems, and increases the chance of participating in other risky activities or behaviours.

3. Socio-economic Status

3.1. Being classed in a low socio-economic group effects academic achievement through lack of resources, but also makes students feel they are missing out compared to more "well-off" peers.

4. Domestic Violence

4.1. Can come in forms of social, emotional, financial, sexual and physical abuse. Abuse can affect mental health, cause depression, encourage violence, self harm and suicide.

5. Depression & Anxiety

5.1. Excess stress and pressures in schools can cause anxiety, which can cause behavioural disturbances. Depression leads to low mood and can affect ones behaviour, thoughts, feeling and motivation.

6. Family Disfunction

6.1. Conflict, misbehaviour and violence within a family can blur the lines between what is 'normal' and what is not. Neglect or abuse is common which inturn leads to depression, violence, self harm etc.

7. Discrimination & Racism

7.1. Culture, Race, Religion, Gender and having a disability can lead to being treated differently by peers. In current times, Racism has been a very important topic.

8. Difference & Diversity

8.1. Includes gender, sexual, cultural diversity. Being seen as different can lead to stereotypes, bullying and discrimination.

9. Online Access

9.1. Students have access to all types of information, being positive, negative, true or false. Misreading and misunderstanding can lead to dangerous ways of thinking.

10. Bullying

10.1. Including cyber or online, bullying can cause many types of negative reactions in a teen mind that could lead to violence, depression, self harm, suicide etc.

11. Self Harm & Suicide Ideation

11.1. Self harm is a serious of sign of distress. Without help, teens could seriously injure themselves, or even lead to suicidal thoughts.

12. Sexual Promiscuity

12.1. Can lead to low self esteem, risk of teenage pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. Teens can feel pressured into committing acts they shouldn't and learn to believe this is normal behaviour.

13. Gender Identity

13.1. Confusion around ones gender can lead to unhealthy thought processes, bullying, depression, loneliness and self harm.

14. Pornography

14.1. Being easily accessible, pornography can be interpreted in the wrong way by adolescences, causing them to think what they watch is "the norm" and force them into committing inappropriate sexual acts.

15. Screen Time

15.1. Excess screen time can lead to adolescences becoming less sociable, and affect their cognitive and physical health.
