19. Summary of the plot: Madeline Whittier is an 18-year-old with SCID, which is a disease that makes you allergic to everything. She lives in a sterilazed home with her mother and her nourse Carla is her only friend. When a new family moves next door her life changes and she falls in love with Olly. She is impressed with his actions. Carla allowed her to see him and she immediately becomes obsessed with him. Without her mothers approval she decides to run away with him to Hawaii where she finally felt free. When her mother found out about it she punished her again and fired Carla. Madelines curiosity makes her go through her mothers room where she discoveres that she is not actually sick.In the following weeks, Madeline grows more independent. She books a flight to New York to go see Olly, this time with her mother’s knowledge. She hides in another aisle in order to surprise him, then they joyfully reunite and restart their romance.
