4.1.1. Short term goal: Find interest in everything I study and read. For example, after I finish a novel, I try to read up on the author, its role in the genre, relation to time period etc.

4.1.2. Long term goal: Maintain passion for intellectual pursuit. Try to not get burntout.

4.2. Life value: I do not value finance as much as doing the things I enjoy. Still, I do value finance, will try to secure a well-paying univerisity deal.

4.3.1. SMART goals: Specific goals are to prepare myself as an academic

4.3.2. Measurable in my ability to explain topics, in my grades, etc.

4.3.3. Achievable: Pace myself in studies so that I do not overwork myself.

4.3.4. Realistic: Can only focus on certain subjects of interest. I have to narrow down my interests. Likely to focus on only English literature rather than philosophy and linguistic.

4.3.5. Time: Expected to complete these goals by the time I finish phd. This likely will take around 5-6 years.
