1. History
1.1. Language teaching has seen many changes in ideas about syllabus design and methodology in the last 50 years, and CLT prompted a rethinking of approaches to syllabus design and methodology. We may conveniently group trends in language teaching in the last 50 years into three phases: Phase 1: traditional approaches (up to the late 1960s) Phase 2: classic communicative language teaching (1970s to 1990s) Phase 3: current communicative language teaching (late 1990s to the presen
2. Characteristics of CTL
2.1. -It aims to make learners to attain communicative competente, use language acculately and appropriately. - the syllabus emphasizes the funtional use of language. - Communicative activities entable the learners engage earners in communication. - the major focus while using CLT approach is in learners.the teacher is just the facilitor and manages the enviroment and helps the learners to become autonomous.
3. advantages of using CTL
3.1. students gain many advantages through the use of CTL in classroom activities, because; (1) helps students to better understand the materials through the various media used in the learning process, which helps them understand the materials that are being learned whether they are subjects in the foreign language
4. Disadvantages of using CTL
4.1. a disadvantage that could exist is with students who do not have much fluency in the foreign language and a super low level of knowledge would make it difficult for them to understand the topics to be exercised
5. Explanation about the new approaches
5.1. If in the education system of our country the CTL was implemented more than the traditional model, I believe that students would acquire in a more dynamic and active way all the new information and the new language, and would be more prepared and would be better able to face life real with the essential and previous knowledge taught in their schools by their teachers since the real sutuasions are implemented a lot, preparing the students, making them more sure of themselves and more interactive with the environment, with a very good communication skills since this system is primarily focused on the interaction
6. Is an approach that represents the philosophy of teaching is a very flexible approach to teaching where Teaching involves many points that make the student more confident, communicators for diferent real life contexts develop and improve the 4 basic skills which are speaking, listening, writing, reading, giving maximum importance to the interaction where the teaching of a new language is not only the subject to teach the language but is also a conduit to carry the class leading students to simulate dialogues in real life in which they can practice the verb to be, grammar, greetings and schematics in communicative language teaching, games are used, communication is used, and mistakes are tolerated, information is shared and about All the teachers act as facilitators and supervisors during the activities, making the classes more active.
7. The origins of Communicative Language Teaching are to be found in the changes in the British language teaching dating from the late 1960s. Until then, the Situational Language Teaching represented the major British approach to teaching English as a foreign language. In the Situational Language Teaching, language was taught by practising basic structures in meaningful situation based activities.
8. What is it?
9. origins
10. My teachers have used CTL a lot in my English subjects as they have been able to implement the teaching of a new language in a very interactive and dynamic way. In the classroom, they simulate real life cases in our teaching, thus preparing us for a future in our lives. and they have carried out activities such as Interviews. Exchange of information distributed among students. Games. Language exchange. Surveys Work in pairs. Learn by teaching.
