1. I belong to the dominant group in my home culture

1.1. My ethnicity is the largest one in my country.(about 90 percentage)

2. Dimension of Culture

2.1. According to Myer's Culture Map,there are the dimension best describe me:application-first(persuading scale)

2.1.1. "The way in which you persuade others and the kinds of arguments you find convincing are deeply rooted in your culture's philosophical"(Meyer,E. n.d. p.6)

2.1.1.1. The Chinese are now more concerned with practicality, as too much attention to some bookish principles has slowed China's development in recent times.

2.2. The way Trompenaars describes culture is best identified as:particularistic culture

2.2.1. "People believe that each circumstance, and each relationship, dictates the rules that they live by"(the Mind Tools Content Team, n.d. p.3).

2.2.1.1. The Chinese believe that the environment can influence people's lives because the history of the Chinese began with planting near rivers. The rivers as well as the weather environment had a great influence on the people of that time and people learned to respect nature as a result.

2.3. According to Hofstede's cultural dimension,I belong to the large power distance dimension

2.3.1. It means that lower status members are more inclined to obey the orders of higher status members

2.3.1.1. Because the Chinese understand that in times of danger, such as the new crown virus period and flooding of rivers, people do not have time to waste, and obeying the command of their superiors is the fastest and best way to solve the crisis they encounter at the moment.

3. My Intersectionality

3.1. I am an Asian and a teenager.

3.1.1. When the society try to pay more attention on Asian, people will ignore youth and focus on adults.When the focus is on youth, again, the focus will be only on white people and ignore Asian youth in developing countries.

4. I belong to the nondominat/targeted group in the USA

4.1. I am from Asia and I am not white.I cannot be the dominat group in the Anglo-Saxon country.

5. My identity has gone through the following development since my relocation

5.1. I don't think my identification has changed significantly. Because just three months in a new place is too short a time to change perceptions.The biggest change is simply a change in language habits.

6. The culture Shock I experienced can be explained as "the anxiety that results from losing all our familiar signs and symbols of social intercourse (Thompson,2021, para. 1).

6.1. 1,Honeymoon,the differences between the old and new culture are seen in a romantic light. People will enjoy the new culture.

6.2. 2,crisis.Cultural differences become apparent and people can be confused and upset because they don't understand the new culture

6.3. 3,recovery.The foreigners start to regain the sense of familiarity and the situation become better.

6.4. 4,adjustment.People understand and accept the environment of the new culture. People's emotions become the same as when they were in the old culture.

7. Changes in my culture and social identity since moving to the U.S.

7.1. Little, my identity not change. I am still an Asian(my skin cannot be white). I am still a student in the college.

8. The social injustice I found in the US is the racism

8.1. This is an obvious thing to do, because you can see a lot of news about this in the United States.Many innocent black people are suspected by police simply because of the color of their skin.

8.1.1. The death of Floyd is an good example. The Black Live Matter movement proves the existence of racism in America.

9. The social injustice I found in my home country is the inequality between cities and villages and income

9.1. Because of China's rapid development as a developing country, the overall wealth of society has increased substantially.

9.1.1. The United Nations states "income inequality has grown very rapidly and dramatically in some countries,including China"(2006, p.3)

9.1.2. The Chinese government spends a lot of money to help the poor and sends university graduates to the countryside as officials to help the locals get rich. This also proves that the government wants to reduce social injustice

10. Basic element,key characteristics of my culture

10.1. Values

10.1.1. Minkov states the "[v]alues are an important element of culture, as social behavior is viewed as partly caused by dominant values and ideologies"(Minkov,2013)

10.1.1.1. As in many modern countries, it is a Chinese value to achieve more and to provide help to more people.

10.2. Norms and Ideologies

10.2.1. This means what people of this culture should and should not do. As a pragmatic culture, the Chinese do not have many norms as long as they do not break the law

10.3. Values for Children

10.3.1. In my country, children are taught to study and work hard in order to grow up to be a successful person

10.4. Beliefs

10.4.1. Beliefs are expressed as agreements or disagreements with worldviews
