1. Output Devices

1.1. Monitor

1.1.1. Displays info. in electronic form

1.1.2. Display soft copy. It turns off when you turn the power off. Allows you to see what you are doing on the computer screen. Different monitors contain different pixels, which results in some monitors being clearer or more colorful. You can adjust the brightness of your monitor so you can see it clearly.

1.2. Printer

1.2.1. Turns info. into a hard copy

1.2.2. The printer gives you what you chose on the monitor as a hard copy. These depend on resolution as well; the higher, the clearer. You can also print out transparencies. You have to set your computer up to the printer so that it can be read and printed.

1.3. Anything you use to move information out of the computer.

2.1. Anything you use to enter data into the computer.

2.2. Keyboard

2.2.1. Controls computer or gives software demands; types words

2.2.2. This allows you to type papers or commands that help you do what you want to do on the computer. Keyboards are simple to learn how to type, but they have many other benefits (commands) that you need to learn. You can learn from trial and error or by researching what each key does.

2.3. Mouse

2.3.1. Pointing device that allows the user to move the cursor on the screen

2.3.2. This allows you to control the computer and go where you want to go on the screen. It can be difficult because different computers/laptops have different mouses. It is important to learn how to use it in order to maneuver around the computer screen.
