1.1. Why we forget

1.1.1. The reason we forget things is because if we remember everything our brain would fry like an egg

1.1.2. Why we remember something from going for a walk and don't remember what we got our friend for his/her b-day is because our brain decides what is important and what is not

1.2. Why do we get brain freezes

1.2.1. We get brain freezes because when we eat the food touches the roof of your mouth and when it is cold the palate sends messages to the brain and vessels swell and shrink over and over causing the throbbing

1.3. Why we get angry

1.3.1. Anger might seem like a bad thing but it is a totally good emotion

1.3.2. We get angry for two reasons. One: Violation of Expectations Two:Blockage of goals

1.3.3. Anger isn't just mental it has physical effects too

1.3.4. The reason we don't act immediately is because we think about how much it hurts,who to blame it on,and what will happen if we react and most importantly we think about why the person might of done it and if it is worth lashing out about it

1.3.5. The Amygdala which is the part of your brain that controls emotions will start to freak out in a quarter of a second and the frontal lobe which controls logic and reasoning and it jumps in and tries to calm the Amygdala down so you don't have an overly angry breakout

1.4.1. The scientific name for an earworm is Involuntary Music Imagery

1.4.2. According to a study more than 90% of people experience an earworm once a week

1.4.3. Some scientists believe that songs get stuck in our head because of memory more than anything because studies have shown that associating music with words is a great way to remember things

1.4.4. How to get rid of an Earworm. Try to concentratto the song until it goes awaye on a game that makes you think,another thing you could do is chew gum,and finally try to make you brain happy listen to the song until it goes away

3.5.2. Some neural pathways don't connect or mature at the same rate which makes it harder to concentrate

3.5.3. Doctors don't know how it is caused but think it has to do brain chemical imbalance

3.6.1. Alzheimer's disease

3.6.1.1. Alzheimer's is a progressive deterioration of the brain,which means it gets worse over time

3.6.1.2. Starts with short term memory loss like forgetting what you just did and can get worse to be bad enough to where you can lose your language skills,to not being able to recognize your family members, it can even get bad enough to you're forgetting how to tie shoes and forget how to use utensils

3.6.1.3. Scientists now know that a person with Alzheimer's loses brain cells which makes sense because they forget how to do so many things

3.6.1.4. It seems to be a genetic thing if your grandma got Alzheimer's you will probably get

3.6.1.5. Little pieces of plaque (protein build up) block messages from getting from one brain cell to another and then there is tangles which is when fibers inside of the cells get tangled and causes death in the cells so basically plaques and tangles prevent chemical messages from going through the brain properly and these messages are what help us think so this is why people with Alzheimer's lose their memory
